Faces of Lasalle

Back in 2006 while Lasalle-SIA was still at Goodman Road, we had a mural project called "Faces of Lasalle". The school gave us an opportunity to paint 5 different expressions of our self-portrait near the entrance of the Fine Arts block in Lasalle for one of our last semester assignments in our first year. We had to choose our own spaces alternately with the rest of the students in Fine Arts.

One of the panels given shared with 7 students.

Using only black and white industrial paint, we had to complete it within 2-3 weeks. Portrait painting was very challenging. This was where you could see every students skills in portrait painting as well as various styles in painting. Below are images of my portrait paintings of "Faces of Lasalle".

Painting together with the other students was a very enjoyable moment for me even if it took us hours and days and nights of staying back in school. After gaining confidence in portrait painting i began practicing and through that i gained more skills and always took note of the details of the facial features.
Thanks for reading!
