Photogram Part 1 2013

In the Photography classes, not only do we have to learn the basics of taking a photograph, but we learn a variety of different aspects of photography. This is where I learn the method of Photogram

It was an unexpected technique to be learning in Photography class but it was a class to look forward to every starting day of the week.

We were given the opportunity to experiment it on small pieces of Ilford Photo Paper before projecting onto bigger sheets to learn the usage of the enlarger where it can only be used in the Dark Room to learn the mechanics of it as well as the functions.

After a few experiments, we were asked to project an expression of our self-portrait using translucent or transparent objects to allow the penetration of light through the objects and onto the photo paper.

Several steps were being taught on how to produce such images using an enlarger. Basically the F-stop and the light exposure time was the main functions needed in this process.

Thanks for reading!
