Pinhole Camera 2013

One of the photography lesson is to create a pinhole camera. This is to experience the old chemical photography way in order to understand the roots of photography. It is amazing how a simpl cardboard A4 paper box can project images such as this through an aluminum sheet with a tiny whole punched in the centre allowing light to pass through to expose the Ilford photography paper so that the images could be projected and then developed in the dark room with the respective chemicals.

These are the Ilford photo papers that have been exposed to light on a sunny day and have been developed in the dark room. One vertical and one horizontal view from the 3rd storey at wing A.

After developing the negatives, we then need to convert them into positive images by directing the image onto a new photo paper and expose it with light on the enlarger for a positive image and this is the end product.

Thanks for reading!
